PREGNANCY AND POSTPARTUM

You can exercise safely and effectively through pregnancy and postpartum. As certified coaches we understand the needs and demands of women training through pregnancy and returning confidently, safely and strategically postpartum.


The first step is for our clients to be cleared by their physician to engage in a fitness program. Once cleared, a pregnant woman can exercise to her own abilities under the guidance of one of our knowledgeable trainers.


As for our postpartum clients, we work closely with a pelvic floor physical therapist, Meredith Rassam, who performs an internal pelvic floor examination to determine the strength of those muscles after experiencing childbirth. Your programming is written based on the strength of your pelvic floor. Every six weeks, you will have a follow up with Meredith to re-evaluate the condition of your pelvic floor. This is when we are able to advance your fitness program and continue with more strenuous exercises.
