Dara founded Be Healthy Personal Trainer because she saw that physical therapy and fitness lacked a relationship to benefit seniors, post-rehab, people with disabilities and individuals with chronic health conditions. So Dara created a fitness program to cohesively bring these two worlds together. Dara and her personal trainers possess an impressive understanding of the musculoskeletal system and emphasis on injury prevention, balance, core and pelvic floor health. And it’s fun!
Dara spent four years gaining an intricate knowledge of the human body while working closely beside physical therapists at the Saint Peter’s Sports Medicine Clinic in Somerset, as a trainer and assisting patients with exercise programs. As a top fitness specialist, Dara does her best to understand your challenges, help you conquer them and gain confidence in your abilities.
Each session with Dara is unique to avoid boredom through repetitive exercises and so your muscles get the maximum benefit. Dara is beloved by her clients because of her expertise, fitness creativity and her ability to connect on a personal level with clients of all ages and demographics.
Jennifer Weidemann comes to Be Healthy with over 20 years experience working with special populations. Her passion includes working with older adults, individuals with chronic medical conditions and post physical therapy patients.
Diane is one of our semi private coaches at Be Healthy Personal Trainer. Diane is no stranger to fitness, she grew up going to the gym with her parents. Approximately ten years ago, Diane started lifting weights due to a family history of osteoporosis and she wanted to prevent it as much as possible. Diane was never a huge fan of going to the gym even though she went consistently, but once she started lifting weights she fell in love. Diane became a Certified Personal Trainer a few years ago and has been looking to more closely improve the lives of others. Diane enjoys working with all different populations and is looking forward to meeting and working with all of you!
Mark is our newest coach, joining Be Healthy earlier this year. Mark started at Be Healthy as a client after rehabbing from shoulder surgery with the goal of getting in better shape. A lifelong athlete and youth wrestling coach, that goal changed when he developed a passion for powerlifting while training with Dara, and he is now a competitive powerlifter. When not working out or training clients at Be Healthy Mark spends his days working as a Construction and Maintenance Project Manager for a major oil company. Fitness runs in Mark’s family…his wife Lisa is a certified Zumba instructor and both of his kids were competitive athletes in high school and college.
Lisa is Be Healthy's Zumba instructor! Lisa has been a fitness instructor since 2009, teaching Pilates, strength and tone classes and several different Zumba formats. Lisa's Saturday class at Be Healthy is Zumba Gold, which is a low impact, less intense version of Zumba that will still have clients moving, sweating, burning calories and having fun! Lisa encourages anyone to join, regardless of experience, so please come join her! In addition to teaching at Be Healthy, Lisa teaches several classes at the Piscataway Community Center and works as an accounting clerk for a Steel Company during the day. Most importantly, Lisa is a Be Healthy client. She started in May of 2024 with weight training being her main objective. You may be familiar with Lisa's husband, Mark, who is a client as well as a coach at Be Healthy. You can catch them both flexing in the mirrors. Lisa can’t wait to see you on the dance floor!!
Kristin is continuing her education at Dominican University New York in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. She is currently in her second year of school and has had clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic settings. She has always had a passion for health and fitness growing up playing several sports and then continuing her softball career in college. Kristin has roughly 1 year of experience in personal training. She continues to grow her knowledge as she is also in the process of attaining her certification in personal training through NASM.
